File Meta Cleaner removes only the supported metadata categories that the implementation detects and verifies as removed. Results may vary by file structure, browser, file size, or other technical conditions.

2. Not Complete File Sanitization

PDF cleaning removes supported document properties only. It does not claim to sanitize annotations, attachments, forms, scripts, XMP or provenance data, hidden content, or every PDF structure.

DOCX cleaning removes supported document-property nodes only. Comments, revisions, custom XML, headers, footers, hidden text, embedded files, and embedded metadata may remain. To protect visible content, a DOCX using document-property fields is not cleaned.

XLSX cleaning removes supported document-property nodes only. Comments, notes, external links, data connections, custom XML, hidden sheets, pivot caches, embedded files, and embedded metadata may remain.

3. No Guarantee of Privacy or Detection Evasion

Removing metadata can reduce the private information present in supported files, but it does not guarantee complete privacy, anonymity, security, or removal of every trace of information.

Metadata removal does not guarantee that a file will evade AI-content detection, watermark or provenance systems, forensic analysis, or any other third-party analysis.

4. Visible and Other Content

The Website does not redact information in visible file content. It may also leave unsupported metadata or other embedded content unchanged. You must review every file before sharing it.
